There is plenty to look forward to on the Ladies European Tour (LET) this year with the 2025 season now less than one month away.
Kicking off in Morocco at the Lalla Meryem Cup, this year our stars will be playing for €39 million in prize money across 30 events around the world.
While several new venues and events are also set to be confirmed, this season’s schedule already boasts four new tournaments.
In March, during the LET’s popular Australian swing, the inaugural Australian WPGA Championship will kick off a stretch of three co-sanctioned events between the LET and WPGA Tour of Australasia.
The new event takes places between 6-9 March at Sanctuary Cove Golf & Country Club in Hope Island, Queensland, with a prize fund of €350,000.
As the circuit returns to Europe, June will see the addition of two more new tournaments – the Tenerife Women’s Open and Hulencourt Women’s Open in Belgium.
The former sees a return to the Spanish Canary Island after a 10-year hiatus. Previous winners in Tenerife include Wales’ Becky Brewerton – now a caddie on Tour – Italy’s Diana Luna and English duo Trish Johnson and Felicity Johnson.
The new 72-hole event will take place at Abama Golf between 5-8 June and has a purse of €500,000.
One week later and the LET is back in Belgium after a two-year hiatus. A new venue, Hulencourt, is located 45 minutes south of Brussels and boasts a scenic, prestigious golf venue.
Germany’s Patricia Isabel Schmidt was victorious last time the LET was in Belgium in 2023. The inaugural 72-hole tournament has a purse of €300,000 and takes place between 12-15 June.
Finally, at the end of August, it’s a trip to Sweden for the brand-new Hills Open staged at Hills Golf & Sports Club.
Situated just south of Gothenburg, the Hills course begins and ends in an enormous, natural amphitheatre. The picturesque venue previously staged the 2018 Nordea Masters on the DP World Tour won by England’s Paul Waring.
The new 54-hole tournament has a purse of €300,000 and takes place between 22-24 August.
LET CEO Alexandra Armas said: “We hope that the additional tournaments will bring further visibility, global audiences and increased opportunities for our players and we would like to thank our Tour sponsors, partners and event promoters for their continued support as we grow the women’s game. We are looking forward to a great season ahead next year.”
