PLAY SUSPENDED IN ROUND THREE AT LA SELLA OPEN

The third round of the 2024 La Sella Open has been suspended due to the threat of lightning in the area.

Play got underway at 8.30 am (local time) with the leaders teeing off at 10.20 am at La Sella Golf Resort.

However, play was suspended at 10.48 am due to the threat of lightning at La Sella with all players taking shelter.

At the time of the suspension, Czechia’s Sara Kouskova sits at the top of the leaderboard on nine-under-par having made an eagle on the par-five second hole.

Germany’s Helen Briem and Japan’s Ayako Uehara are one shot further back on eight-under with Australia’s Kirsten Rudgeley and Italy’s Virginia Elena Carta on seven-under-par.

After a delay of two hours and 47 minutes, play resumed at 1.35 pm with all players back out on the course to finish their third round.
