The Ladies European Tour (LET) is on the Central Coast of New South Wales for this week’s Women’s NSW Open.
It is the 15th edition of the tournament and the fifth time that the tournament is being co-sanctioned by the LET and the WPGA Tour of Australasia.
Magenta Shores Golf & Country Club is the host venue for this year’s tournament which sees a challenging links course awaiting.
A field of 132 players from 36 nations will be teeing up in a 54-hole stroke play competition with a cut to the top 60 professionals and ties after the second round.
With it being a co-sanctioned tournament, the field is made up of 80 LET members, 30 WPGA members, 12 Regional Qualifiers and 10 Golf NSW invites.
Two LET winners from the 2024 season are in attendance with Magical Kenya Ladies Open winner Shannon Tan here, as well as Lalla Meryem Cup victor Bronte Law.
The duo are also at the top of the pile in the rankings with Law leading the Order of Merit and Tan leading Rookie of the Year.
England’s Meghan MacLaren is a former champion in the field having won this title in 2018 and successfully defended it in 2019.
Thailand’s Trichat Cheenglab – last season’s Race to Costa del Sol champion – will be teeing it up in her fourth event of the season.
Dutch star Anne Van Dam is the top-ranked player in the field as she sits 78th in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.
In 2023, when the tournament was just sanctioned by the WPGA, it was New Zealand’s Momoka Kobori who won the title, and she tees it up this week having finished in the top 20 at LET Q-School in December.
While for the first time in LET history, three siblings will be playing in the same tournament with Munchin, Wenyung and Siyi Keh all playing.
