CRUNCHING THE NUMBERS AHEAD OF THE 2024 LET SEASON

As the start of the 2024 Ladies European Tour (LET) season grows ever closer, we’ve had a delve into some of the numbers ahead of the first event.

From the membership numbers for 2024 to the number of nationalities represented to the 45th anniversary since the Tour was founded.

Take a look at some of the numbers behind the LET in 2024….

The LET was founded in November 1978 with the first season of events happening the following year in 1979.

In November 2023 it was the 45th anniversary of when the Tour was founded and as such, the LET will be speaking to the original founding members of the Tour throughout the 2024 season.

Membership for the LET for the 2024 season is complete and this year there are 402 LET members which includes all active members plus lifetime, associate, and founding members of the Tour.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been an upturn in the number of players wanting to join the Tour with more and more players applying for Q-School each year. For this season, there are 64 Rookie Members who will be competing for the prestigious Rookie of the Year title.

The LET is proud to be a global Tour with roots in Europe and this year there will be a record number of nationalities represented. With an increase of five from last season, there are 43 nations represented on the LET with new countries including Panama, Poland, Hong Kong, and Singapore, as well as returning countries such as the Philippines, China, and Mexico.

With a schedule of 31 events across the year, the LET is proud to be taking the Tour across five continents in 2024. The LET is heading to Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America as it did in 2023 but Australia is back on the schedule with two events – the Women’s NSW Open and Australian Women’s Classic – taking place at the end of March and beginning of April.
