HONG KONG IS NEXT STOP ON THE SCHEDULE FOR THE LET

The Ladies European Tour (LET) season continues this week with a trip to Asia and specifically Hong Kong being the next stop on the 2023 schedule.

Hong Kong Golf Club will host the Aramco Team Series Presented by PIF – Hong Kong, which is the fourth ATS event of the season.

The format is the same as usual with two competitions happening side by side – the 54-hole Individual stroke play alongside the 36-hole Team event.

This week, there are 84 professionals from 27 nations teeing it up in Hong Kong and the prize fund is split with $500,000 USD allocated to each competition.

As before, each Team will consist of three professionals and one amateur with the Team captains decided on Monday 25th September based upon the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.

At the Draft, which will happen on Wednesday evening, the Team captains will pick in reverse order with the 28th-ranked captain picking first and the top-ranked captain picking last, while the third professional and amateur in each team are decided by random draw.

There is a star-studded field in town with world number one Lilia Vu playing in the event as is world number three Jin Young Ko.

They are also joined by China’s Xiyu ‘Janet’ Lin and Muni ‘Lily’ He, while Hong Kong is represented this week by Tiffany Chan.

European Solheim Cup stars Carlota Ciganda and Caroline Hedwall are in town fresh from helping Europe retain the coveted trophy.

While Vu, who was part of the U.S. Team in Spain, is also joined this week by compatriot and fellow Solheim Cup player Rose Zhang.

Five of the top 10 in the 2023 Race to Costa del Sol are in attendance with Johanna Gustavsson (2nd), Diksha Dagar (4th), Trichat Cheenglab (5th), Klara Davidson Spilkova (8th) and Gabriella Cowley (10th).

Gustavsson, who has had previous success in this format, comes into the week having just clinched her maiden LET title and would go to the top of the Race to Costa del Sol with a first- or second-place finish.
