It is back-to-back weeks in Scotland for the Ladies European Tour and the final Major of the year – the AIG Women’s Open – is upon us.
Carnoustie Golf Links plays host to the 13th event of the season which sees LET and LPGA stars tee it up for the top prize.

Past Champions Aplenty
A plethora of former Women’s Open winners will return to the tournament this week as they play in the final Major of the year.
With star names up and down the 144-player entry list, nine former champions will be ready to take on the challenge of Carnoustie.
They are Sophia Popov (2020), Hinako Shibuno (2019), Georgia Hall (2018), Ariya Jutanugarn (2016), Inbee Park (2015), Mo Martin (2014), Stacy Lewis (2013), Catriona Matthew (2009) and Laura Davies (1986).
Women’s Open Returns to Carnoustie
The Women’s Open returns to the home of ‘Golf’s Greatest Test’ this week, as The Carnoustie Championships Course takes centre stage.
Golf has been played at the Links since the 16th century and the venue has played host to Open Championships, the Women’s Open and two Senior Opens.
Back in 2011 was the last time the Women’s Open was played here when Taiwan’s Yani Tseng triumphed with a four-shot victory.
Solheim Cup On the Horizon
It is the final countdown until the 2021 Solheim Cup, which will take place at Inverness Club in Toldeo, Ohio where Team Europe will be seeking to defend the coveted trophy.
The qualification window for both Team Europe and Team USA closes at the conclusion of the AIG Women’s Open.
With spots still up for grabs and picks available on both Teams, there is everything to play for this week in Scotland.
